Last night, which happened to be a Friday, I was at home enjoying a beer and some crochet (as you do). I commented on Instagram that if you had told me in my 20’s that this would represent my perfect evening, I would have looked at you bewilderedly and probably laughed. But here I am, on the doorstep of 40, and I couldn’t be happier with an evening in with some yarn and my hooks! And as your comments indicated, I’m not alone. It’s nice to have found my tribe of fellow crochet nerds!
I felt compelled to play around without an agenda or a plan, just to see where my hook took me. As it turned out, it took me down the path of creating a petite, lacy hexagon, with a flowery center. I hope you enjoy experimenting with your own color combinations and making your own! I’m calling it Friday Night Hexagon, which, while not necessarily descriptive of the motif (save for its shape), captures for me the joy of weekend night crochet.

Hi Jackie,
The pattern is in the body of the blog post. Let me know if you’re unable to see it there. It’ s just the pattern for the single motif.
Cheers!
